Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

Working as part of a dedicated and experienced team, you will assist us in maintaining and keeping our busy GAA grounds and pitches in Bettystown and Laytown up to a high standard.

Duties:
- Work to a weekly schedule agreed with the CE Supervisor and Management
- Cutting grass on pitches and sidelines
- Line and mark pitches
- Prepare pitches for matches and training including putting out flags and goalposts and removing after matches
- Strimming banks and maintain hedging
- Astro pitch sweeping
- Minor goalpost repairs
- Litter picking and weeding
- Car park stewarding during matches
- Safe use and storage of all tools and equipment
- Keeping containers and lockups clean and tidy

Full training is provided. An interest in the GAA and Gaelic games is an advantage but not essential. Applicants need to be flexible and willing to learn. This is a varied role involving outdoor manual work all year round.
East Meath Community Employment CE is an equal opportunities employer.
