We are a small, independent wine retail shop and wine bar located in the heart of Sandymount. Known for our carefully curated selection of wines and relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, we pride ourselves on offering knowledgeable, friendly service to both casual customers and wine enthusiasts.

The Role
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Assistant Shop Manager to support the day-to-day running of our shop and wine bar. Wine knowledge is a MUST. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has a strong interest in wine, and thrives in a small business environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the daily operations of the shop and wine bar
Deliver excellent customer service and build strong customer relationships
Support stock management, ordering, and inventory control
Help curate and maintain wine displays and merchandising
Assist with staff supervision, training, and scheduling
Support the planning and execution of tastings and events
Ensure high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and compliance

About You

Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or a similar role
Strong interest in wine (formal training is a plus)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive, hands-on attitude with strong organisational skills
Ability to work evenings and weekends as required
A team player who can also take initiative
