Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

Working as part of an experienced and dedicated team to maintain our multi-award winning organic community garden.  You will assist us to keep our beautiful heritage village clean and tidy.
Duties: 
- General upkeep of the community garden and woodland walkway on the south side of the village
- Follow a schedule of seasonal work - daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly 
- Digging and moving soil
- Hedge trimming and grass cutting
- Lawn maintenance
- Keeping pathways clean and clear
- Litter picking in the garden and in the village
- Planting and watering trees, flowers and vegetables
- Weeding
- Cleaning and maintenance of our fishpond
- Safe use, handling and storage of all garden tools and equipment
- Assist with community events, Christmas, Hallowe'en etc.

This position is based in Julianstown, Co.Meath
An interest in organic horticulture and gardening is required for this position,  This is an outdoor role with manual work all year round.
