Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

Working as part of a dedicated and experienced team, you will assist us in maintaining our busy GAA grounds and pitches in Bettystown and Laytown to a high standard.  

Duties:
- Work to a weekly schedule of work agreed with the CE Supervisor and Club  Committee
- Cutting grass on pitches, sidelines and verges
- Line and mark pitches using line marking machine
- Strimming hedges 
- Sweeping astro pitch and training area
- minor goal repairs
- pitch maintenance and repairs
- Weeding along footpaths and carpark
- Litter picking
- Separation of waste
- Car park stewarding during matches and busy periods
- minor maintenance repairs
- Safe use and storage of all tools and equipment
- Keeping lock up clean and tidy
This position is based in Colmcille's GAA Club, PIltown Road, Bettystown, Co.Meath
Full training is provided.  An interest in the GAA and gaelic games is an advantage but not essential.  Applicants need to be flexible and willing to learn.  This is a varied role involving outdoor manual work all year round.  Own transport is an advantage.
