The Department of Economics, School of Social Sciences and Philosophy, is seeking to appoint an Assistant Professor in Economics, to commence on 4th August 2026. The Department invites applications in any field of Economics to add to its existing research strengths. There are two specific-purpose appointments available, each intended to provide temporary backfill cover for the permanent postholder. As the postholder is expected to return, these roles are not offered on an indefinite basis. We welcome applicants with vision, enthusiasm, and a strong commitment to excellence in both research and teaching. Candidates should demonstrate an established record of high-quality research in Economics, with clear potential for further significant contributions, and show creativity and innovation in curriculum and module design.
