Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

To register your interest you can contact an Employment Personal Advisor (EPA) in your local Intreo Centre.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.



Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

To support service users in their day programme both in the Centre and in the community, if required.
Care Assistant will report to the Supervisor on duty in the section.
Playing games, arts, crafts, bingo, dancing and exercise.
Prepare premises before clients arrive.
Help bus clients off the bus in the morning, either with walking aids and or wheelchair.

To attend training that is offered, so that you fully understand and work with all the procedures and guidelines within the organisation.
Prepare Tables and serve meals.
Helping with bathroom, sometimes help with change clothes.
Helping with meal times, escort clients to doctor on occasion and on day trips.
