We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Field Service Engineer to support the continued growth in demand from our clients in the Carlow/County Carlow area and nearby areas.
This is a specialised engineering role, focused on the installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of advanced electro-mechanical coffee systems. The role requires strong technical expertise across mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, combined with advanced diagnostic capability.
Candidates must have prior experience in the maintenance of commercial espresso equipment (or similar machinery), a strong technical background, and the ability to work independently at customer sites.  Basic IT knowledge is required, as our equipment incorporates advanced communication and programming systems. 
A valid driving licence is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
	Install, commission, and configure commercial coffee machines and associated systems at client premises
	Diagnose faults across hydraulic systems, wiring, motors, cables, and interfacing components, ensuring repairs meet manufacturer standards
	Perform advanced fault-finding, including electrical, mechanical, and electronic troubleshooting
	Carry out preventative maintenance, including water filter changes and PSSR testing
	Calibrate and adjust equipment components, including coffee grinders, brewing systems, and hydraulic modules
	Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics
	Identify root causes of faults and implement effective engineering solutions
	Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation
	Provide technical support and basic training to customers on equipment operation and maintenance
	Manage spare parts, tools, and service stock efficiently
	Follow defined procedures and processes as outlined during training
	Participate in an on-call rota, including emergency breakdown response and weekend support when required
	Deliver a high standard of customer service in a client-facing environment
Requirements
	Minimum 5 years’ experience in a relevant engineering discipline (electro-mechanical, electrical, or mechanical engineering)
	Recognised qualification in Engineering or a related technical field
	Proven experience in servicing and maintaining commercial equipment or automated systems (coffee machine experience highly desirable)
	Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across integrated systems
	Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and manuals
	Proven ability to work independently in a field-based role
	Good IT literacy
	Excellent communication and customer service skills
	Full clean Category B driving licence (essential)
