Company Accountant – Northside Community Enterprises CLG (Cork)
Northside Community Enterprises CLG is seeking a Company Accountant to support the organisation’s financial management, compliance, and long-term sustainability. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this full-time, on-site role offers a varied and rewarding opportunity within the community and voluntary sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, supporting year-end reporting and audits, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements. The role includes leading budgeting and forecasting processes, monitoring financial performance, and providing financial guidance to managers.

Key duties also include payroll management, VAT returns and compliance, and acting as a point of contact for financial queries. The role will involve improving financial systems and processes, strengthening internal controls, and supporting governance and risk management.

Working closely with senior management and trustees, the Company Accountant will contribute to strategic planning and funding applications, helping the organisation to use its resources effectively in delivering its charitable objectives.

The ideal candidate will be a part-qualified or qualified accountant with strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills. Experience in the charity sector and knowledge of Charity SORP are desirable.
