ABOUT THE ROLE Irwin's Megastore is a leading omnichannel electrical and home appliance retailer based in Waterford, Ireland. We are looking for a skilled and experienced Carpenter / Kitchen Fitter to join our installation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the professional fitting of kitchen furniture, cabinetry, and built-in units, as well as the integration of appliances in customer homes. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role requiring a high standard of finish and strong attention to detail. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Installation and fitting of kitchen furniture, cabinetry, and built-in units Integration and installation of built-in appliances including ovens, hobs, dishwashers, washing machines, and refrigeration units Reading and working from technical plans, manufacturer specifications, and installation guides Making precise cuts, joints, and adjustments to ensure accurate fitting Ensuring all installations meet manufacturer warranty requirements and Irish building regulations Liaising directly with customers at point of delivery and installation Completing post-installation checks and customer handovers Maintaining tools, equipment, and a clean working environment REQUIREMENTS Minimum 2 years' experience as a carpenter, joiner, or kitchen fitter Demonstrated experience fitting integrated or built-in appliances Ability to read technical drawings and manufacturer installation documentation Strong attention to detail and high standard of finish Full clean driving licence Excellent communication and customer-facing skills WHAT WE OFFER Salary: €36,605 per annum Permanent full-time contract Staff discount on appliances and products
