This Work Placement Experience Programme provides Participants with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, learning and training while on the programme. This programme is for jobseekers who are in receipt of qualifying social welfare payments and those transferring from a social welfare scheme or an ETB Training Allowance. Your eligibility for this programme will be verified by the Department as part of the application process.
The coralea court hotel are currently offering an exciting work placement opportunities as part of the Work Placement Experience Programme. Our General Associate Assistant position will join our dynamic hospitality team . Hours and days of work are flexible and can be discussed at interview. 30 hours per week max on WPEP. This is a training and work experience opportunity and as such no previous experience or knowledge in the area is required. During their time with us, the successful participant will gain a wide variety of knowledge and skills through both informal and formal/industry recognised training. This role is in place for a 6-month period and will give you the opportunity to gain key/transferable skills in the hospitality industry
This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection. This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP. Formal: - Full HACCP level one and two training First Aid training Manual handling training Full health and Safety training Slips trips and falls training Chemical awareness training Accident reporting training Fire Marshall training Informal: Food preparation and service in line with HACCP/Food Hygiene procedures Preparation of service area and service points Maintaining a clean and safe working environment including pot/dish wash and deep clean duties Cleaning and replenishing service equipment Monitoring and recording food temperatures Correct storage of food items and equipment after service How to provide excellent Customer Service Complying with and assisting with the promotion and implementation of the Company’s Health and Safety policy.
