Cullen’s Recovery, Lisruntagh, Drumfin, Riverstown, Co. Sligo are seeking to recruit an experienced HGV Mechanic / Vehicle Technician to join our busy garage and vehicle services business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, diagnostics and repair of diesel engines and mechanical systems in light and commercial vehicles, including vans, jeeps and commercial vehicles.

Duties will include servicing and repair of diesel engines, diagnostics and fault finding using appropriate equipment, maintenance and repair of braking systems, suspension and drivetrain components, carrying out routine servicing and preventative maintenance, inspection and testing of vehicles, and ensuring all work is completed to a high standard of safety and quality.

Key Requirements:

Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as a vehicle technician or mechanic
Experience working with diesel engines and commercial vehicles
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills

This is a full-time position based on a 39-hour working week with an annual salary of €36,605.
