The Purpose of the Role

The Business School is housed in a contemporary, eco-conscious structure on the Trinity campus, adjacent to major international business hubs, especially those in the finance and digital business sectors.
Trinity Business School seeks to appoint an Assistant Professor in Social Innovation who embodies an engaged, impact-oriented academic profile, combining scholarship with programme leadership, external engagement, and societal contribution.
 
Aligned with our mission of “Transforming Business for Good,” this role is designed for candidates who operate at the interface of academia, policy, and practice, and who are motivated to build initiatives, partnerships, and programmes that deliver tangible impact.
 
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in areas such as social innovation, philanthropy, community engagement, public or non-profit management, and cross-sector collaboration.

Post Status: 5 Year Fixed Term Tenure-Track
 
Salary: Appointment will be made on Assistant Professor Merged Salary Scale (109BN) commensurate with qualifications / experience and in line with Public Sector Pay Policy ( €43,425 - €103,582 per annum) 
 
Hours of Work: Hours of work for academic staff are those as prescribed under Public Service Agreements.

Research plan (summarising research to be carried out in the next two years and including details for funding to be sought – maximum of 2 pages).Teaching statement (summarising teaching experience and approach – maximum of 2 pages).
