Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.



Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

This post is based in Drumkill Day Care Centre, Kilnaclay, Three Mile House, Co. Monaghan. Join a team of dedicated community employment participants in this setting who are progressing towards a QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support whilst gaining valuable on-the-job experience with personal care, patient handling, and moving using hoists and other equipment. Duties also include supporting the elderly with leisure activities including arts and crafts and dancing, bingo, singing etc Maybe you could introduce the service users to a skill you have and encourage them to participate. This is a very rewarding role for the right person.
