We are recruiting for the position of a hands-on BIM Manager.

As a BIM Manager you will provide support and leadership to implement, develop, and manage BIM standards development, implementation, and enforcement on all related BIM projects, files and models within Brodeen Engineering. Crucially, this is a highly active production role; alongside your management duties, you will be directly responsible for actively creating, updating, and modifying BIM models yourself.

Responsibilities

Actively create, update, and maintain BIM models yourself throughout the project lifecycle, while also overseeing the broader team's output.
Directly produce and modify detailed 3D models specifically focused on complex pipework, secondary steelwork, and bracketry.
Provide training and supervision to project teams on BIM practices, software and tools.
Regularly review hardware and software updates to ensure compatibility and effectiveness.
Coordinate with project managers to streamline the BIM process.
Ensure project models and related documents are accurate and high quality.
Develop procedures to facilitate sharing of content and collaboration across locations.
Perform clash detection, model coordination, and problem-solving tasks, resolving design issues directly within the models.
Monitor project’s BIM performance and compliance.
Conduct clash detection and coordinate with respective teams for verification/modification.
Work with the broader team to review tender documents (including Works Information, EIR, etc.) to identify Clients BIM and Digital requirements.

Requirements

Proven past specialization and extensive hands-on experience in the precise 3D modeling of pipework systems, structural steelwork, and bracketry.
5+ years experience of working on multi-disciplinary projects with BIM requirements.
BIM Documentation experience.
Excellent written, and verbal communication skills and experience working with MS Office.
5+ years experience utilising Autodesk Revit, Viewpoints for Projects / Dalux (or similar CDE such as ACC), AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
Completed a third-level qualification (minimum Level 8 degree) in construction, computing, architecture, engineering, quantity surveying, or a related discipline.
Experience within the mechanical engineering sector advantageous.
Strong commercial awareness and project management capability.
Strong IT skills.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
