We have a fantastic full time vacancy for a Hospitality Manager in the excellent 4 Star Claregalway Hotel.

Role Purpose:
To oversee all evening food and beverage operations while acting as the Hotel Duty Manager, ensuring smooth service delivery, strong cost control, guest satisfaction, staff supervision, and adherence to hotel standards across departments during evening trade.

This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for decision-making, problem-solving, and operational control during peak service hours.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Food and Beverage Management (Evenings)
Lead and supervise all evening F&B operations (bar, restaurant, functions).
Ensure service standards, quality, and consistency are met at all times.
Manage floor service during peak periods, leading by example.
Monitor sales performance, upselling, and guest spend.
Control labour, rostering, and deployment during evening service.
Oversee cash handling, till procedures, and end-of-shift reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health & safety, and HACCP standards.
Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally and promptly.
Coordinate closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service flow
Act as Duty Manager for the hotel during assigned shifts.
Be the senior decision-maker on site when on Duty Management shift.
Liaise with Reception, Accommodation, and Maintenance as required.
Handle guest issues, incidents, and emergencies in line with hotel procedures.
Ensure guest safety, security, and comfort at all times.
Complete duty manager logs and handover reports.
Carry out nightly checks of public areas, bars, and key hotel spaces.
Manage late arrivals, early departures, and room-related issues where required.
