Due to further growth & increased expansion Building Envelope Technologies, Ireland’s leading air tightness, building performance & compliance specialists are now seeking candidates for the position of Mechanical/Sustainability Engineer to be based at our office in Ferns, Co.Wexford.

Requirements:

Suitable Qualification in Mechanical/Sustainability Engineering.

Knowledge of experimental thermal testing methods (desirable, not essential)
Strong analytical, computational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Developing and implementing thermal models using analytical and numerical methods (CFD, FEA, lumped parameter modelling)
Conducting thermal simulations for components, systems, and full assemblies under various operating conditions
Analysing heat transfer, thermal stresses, and cooling requirements
Collaborating with mechanical, electrical, and design engineers to integrate thermal considerations into designs
Validating simulation models using experimental or real-world data and iterating designs to improve performance
Preparing technical drawings for use in calculations and reports
Producing clear reports, presenting findings, and making recommendations for thermal management strategies
Advising clients on building compliance, particularly TGD Part L & Part F (NZEB)
Supporting SEAI Grant Applications and energy upgrade works
Contributing to low-energy, low-carbon design strategies
Keeping up to date with latest thermal simulation tools, methods, and industry trends
The role will suit an ambitious junior/graduate engineer with a suitable background and interest in sustainability or somebody in the construction industry looking to re-train. A generous package is available for the right candidate
