The Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for the end-to-end coordination of procurement, inventory management, and logistics operations for our Academic Library Supply business area. This role requires technical expertise in supply chain modelling to optimize lead times and ensure business continuity across markets. Key Responsibilities Demand Forecasting: Utilize statistical tools to predict seasonal demand (e.g., academic starts, holiday periods) for a catalogue of 100,000+ SKUs to ensure optimal stock availability. International Procurement: Manage relationships with global Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. Data Analysis: Generate monthly performance reports on KPI metrics, including supplier lead times, freight costs, and inventory turnover. Inventory Optimization: Execute MRP (Material Requirements Planning) to balance inventory risk against cost, specifically managing "Returns" processing and "Print-on-Demand" logistics. ERP/WMS Management: Maintain data integrity within the company’s ERP system to track real-time stock levels across retail and warehouse sites.
