Metal Fabrication Apprentice

The Role
Brodeen Engineering is currently recruiting a Metal Fabrication Apprentice to join our growing fabrication and site teams. This is an excellent opportunity to begin a recognised apprenticeship while gaining hands on experience on high-quality engineering projects across industrial, pharmaceutical, and data centre sectors.
You will learn your trade under the guidance of experienced fabricators and supervisors, combining on-the-job training with off-site phases through SOLAS-approved training centres.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
•    Assist with the fabrication of metal components and structures to drawings and specifications
•    Learn cutting, forming, welding, and finishing techniques (MIG/TIG/Arc)
•    Read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication symbols
•    Use hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery safely
•    Support installation works on site when required
•    Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
•    Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and company policies

What We’re Looking For
•    Completed Leaving Certificate preferred
•    Strong interest in metal fabrication, engineering, or construction
•    Practical, hands-on attitude with a willingness to learn
•    Good timekeeping, reliability, and work ethic
•    Ability to work well as part of a team
