This Work Placement Experience Programme provides Participants with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, learning and training while on the programme. This programme is for jobseekers who are in receipt of qualifying social welfare payments and those transferring from a social welfare scheme or an ETB Training Allowance. Your eligibility for this programme will be verified by the Department as part of the application process. 


The participant will support the Lead H&S Consultant whose role is Design & Developing Health and Safety and ISO Content for training directly to the business sector.  The successful participant will contribute and assist in a variety of ongoing projects. Day to day involvement will include supporting general content preparation, assisting with H&S projects, ISO development, coordination of  tasks, time management, project management while also learning how to carry out these core administrative duties.
Guidance, mentoring, support and training will be provided, this opportunity will aid in building knowledge and confidence over the placement period, also contribute meaningfully to ongoing projects within the organisation.
 
This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. This is an opportunity for participants eligible or who require the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection. This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP.
