The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of traditional Turkish cooking techniques, particularly in grilling and meat preparation, and be able to work efficiently in a busy kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of Turkish kebabs (e.g., doner, shish, adana, kofte)
Marinate, skewer, and grill meats according to traditional recipes
Operate and maintain grill equipment (charcoal or gas) safely
Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation
Prepare fresh accompaniments such as salads, sauces, and flatbreads
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and workstations
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies
Work efficiently during peak service hours
Requirements:
Proven experience as a kebab chef or grill chef in Turkish or Middle Eastern cuisine
Strong knowledge of meat preparation, marination, and grilling techniques
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Good understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
