Job Description & Skills Required Bridgelynn Ltd t/a Little Flower Nursing Home are seeking Health Care Assistants for Little Flower Nursing Home, Labane, Ardrahan, Co Galway. We are looking for individuals to join our teams on a full time basis. Company:- Bridgelynn Ltd t/a Little Flower Nursing Home Location :- Little Flower Nursing Home, Labane, Ardrahan, Co Galway. Working Hours : Full time, 39 hours per week Pay rate : €32691 per annum Purpose of the Role:- The Healthcare Assistant works as a member of a team delivering care to the residents. Key Responsibilities:- Assist the residents with activities pf daily living. Tasks required by this job include: Following direction of nurse in charge in carrying out care, record keeping and reporting. Serving meals to service users at table or in bed, and assists with feeding if required; Generally assisting with service users in their overall comfort and well-being; Providing interest and activities to stimulate and engage the service user; Monitoring service users conditions by taking temperature, pulse, respiration and weight, and contributes to record keeping; Liaising with professional staff in carrying out care plans etc. Qualifications/Skills:- FETAC/QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare or equivalent. (completed or in progress) Experience working in a healthcare environment (with a good knowledge of HIQA standards) Excellent communication skills Ability to maintain a positive approach in a sometimes-challenging environment Caring and empathetic nature Fluent level of English both written and oral. Must be eligible to work in Ireland. Must be available to work day, night and weekend shifts on a fulltime basis.
