This Work Placement Experience Programme provides Participants with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, learning and training while on the programme. This programme is for jobseekers who are in receipt of qualifying social welfare payments and those transferring from a social welfare scheme or an ETB Training Allowance. Your eligibility for this programme will be verified by the Department as part of the application process. 


Learn how to provide safe piercing practices under expert supervision.
Assist with studio operations, including client consultations and aftercare guidance.
Be trained how to develop creative designs and contribute to portfolio-building.
Create and manage social media content to promote the studio and yourself
Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene standards.

Training Provided:
Mentorship from experienced body artists.
Workshops in social media strategy.
Ongoing feedback and skill development.

This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. This is an opportunity for participants eligible or who require the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection. This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP.

You will receive comprehensive training in key areas, including:

FORMAL:
Piercing techniques (anatomy assessment, curation, techniques,  equipment handling).
Bloodborne Pathogen Certification (infection control and safety protocols).
Health & Safety Compliance (studio hygiene, client care).
 
INFORMAL:
Social Media Management (content creation, branding, and client engagement).
