To ensure a safe, secure and healthy environment for the safety and welfare of the children. Provide for the holistic needs of the children. Actively engage the children in the developmentally appropriate learning activities to facilitate the potential development of each child. Act as a role model for the children and the parents.
To promote an organised, clean, safe, well equipped and culturally sensitive learning environment. Observe and record children’s progress To keep the manager informed of any issues when they arise. To help the other teachers in any way necessary to ensure the smooth day to day running of the classrooms.
Supervise the children in the playground and ensuring the health and safety of the children. Preparing the environment in line with the Montessori teachings communicate effectively with children, parents and staff alike. Meeting established policies and procedures and creating an environment of best practice in line with Montessori education. Planning and developing curriculum and activities.
Prepares and delivers lessons and activities in accordance with curriculum requirements and teaches a range of subjects. Teaching and assessing children through the Montessori method.
Implementing weekly and monthly lesson plans. Observing, recording and monitoring the children's development. Maintaining health and safety standards. Prepares, assigns and corrects exercises to record and evaluate students’ progress.
Maintains records of students’ progress and development. Supervises students and maintains classroom discipline. Teaches simple songs and rhymes, reads stories and organises various activities to promote language, social and physical development. Discusses progress with student, parents and/or other education professionals.
Location of employment: Clonlara Co. Clare (Bus service locally but own transport is advised)
Qualifications: Must hold a qualification in Childcare. Level 8 desirable - minimum level 5
Renumeration: €36,605 per annum
