Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.



Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

Experience working with people with intellectual disability is desirable.  Responsibilities include supporting adults with an intellectual disability in their course work while working alongside the staff of the Performing Arts School , support tutors in the class, support learners in the class, carry out duties outlined by tutors or staff, monitor learners during the day and maintain classrooms.  Applicants should have a positive attitude towards working with persons with an intellectual disability and help to ensure that they lead as normal and enjoyable a life as possible.
