MTS, a provider of laboratory services to the construction sector, is seeking a Construction Material Test Laboratory Technician to support laboratory operations in Carlow.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and test construction material samples in accordance with laboratory testing procedures and standards
• Conduct laboratory testing on materials, including concrete, aggregates, soils, asphalt, and related construction materials
• Maintain accurate records and report test results
• Follow quality control procedures and health & safety requirements
• Ensure laboratory equipment and work areas are maintained in a clean and organised condition
• Assist with sample collection, storage, and preparation
• Support laboratory operations and technical staff as required

Candidate Requirements:
• Previous laboratory or construction materials testing experience is beneficial but not essential
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Reliable, disciplined, and quality-focused approach to work

Preferred Qualifications:
• Qualification or studies in Science, Engineering, Construction, Materials Science, or a related field are advantageous
• Experience in quality assurance or laboratory environments is beneficial

Additional Requirements:
• Applicants must be legally permitted to work in Ireland
• Good English communication skills required for reporting and health & safety purposes
