Job Description
Tusker Builders is an established structural building and carpentry contractor operating across Ireland. We are currently seeking a qualified and industrious Carpenter / Joiner to join our expanding on-site team in County Kerry & County Limerick. The successful applicant will perform vital first-fix timber framing installations and high-quality second-fix internal finishings on residential and commercial builds. All works must fulfill strict Irish building regulations and engineering specifications. 


Key Duties and Responsibilities
Accurately analyze architectural blueprints, engineering drawings, and structural specifications to plan timber layouts.
Precisely measure, cut, shape, and join wood materials using a range of specialized hand tools and industrial power equipment.
Erect on-site structural timber frameworks including load-bearing roof trusses, floor joists, stud-wall partitions, and structural hoarding.
Install internal second-fix finishes including hanging fire doors, fitting skirting boards, architraves, window frames, and custom cabinetry.
Use spirit levels, squares, and laser levels to ensure all alignments meet rigorous structural tolerances.
Execute repairs, extensions, and structural adjustments on timber frameworks during renovation and site development projects.
Maintain a pristine work environment and ensure strict personal compliance with all statutory Health & Safety legislation. 


Candidate Requirements
Minimum Experience: A minimum of 2 years of active, verifiable experience working as a qualified Carpenter on commercial or domestic sites.
Qualifications: A recognized National Craft Certificate in Carpentry/Joinery (Level 6/7 Apprenticeship) or equivalent international accredited trade qualification.
Language Skills: Fluent English proficiency (Minimum B2/C2 level) to read complex architectural documents and understand daily on-site safety briefings.
Attributes: High manual dexterity, reliable physical endurance, and the capacity to collaborate within multi-disciplinary construction crews.
