McAree Engineering Works Limited are looking for multiple Maintenance Fitters for their premises at Ballinode, County Monaghan, Ireland. H18 K103. The salary ranges from €36,000 to €56,000 based on a 39-hour week. Salary may be more based on experience and will increase proportionately if additional hours are required. We are seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Fitter to join our manufacturing and assembly team. The successful candidate will support the assembly, maintenance, installation, and repair of industrial equipment and mechanical components used in production operations. The role involves working with mechanical assemblies, power tools, lifting equipment, and production systems in a fast-paced industrial environment. Key Responsibilities Mechanical assembly of industrial units and sub-components Maintenance and repair of machinery and production equipment Use of hand and power tools including drills, grinders, torque tools, and cutting equipment Reading and interpreting technical drawings and assembly instructions Bolting, fitting, aligning, and securing mechanical components Assisting with preventative maintenance activities Operating overhead gantry cranes and lifting equipment Supporting production and material handling operations Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures Maintaining quality standards and reporting defects where necessary Candidate Requirements Previous experience in a manufacturing, maintenance, mechanical fitting, or industrial assembly environment Good mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving ability Experience using hand and power tools is essential Ability to read technical drawings and follow instructions MIG welding experience advantageous but not essential Overhead crane experience beneficial; training may be provided Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team Good level of English preferred for safety and operational purposes Education & Skills Trade qualification or relevant mechanical experience desirable Manual handling awareness preferred Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices Benefits Full training provided Overtime opportunities Supportive team environment Career progression opportunities
