McAree Engineering Works Limited are looking for multiple Steel Fixers for their premises at Ballinode, County Monaghan, Ireland. H18 K103. The salary ranges from €36,000 to €56,000 based on a 39-hour week. Salary may be more based on experience and will increase proportionately if additional hours are required. We are currently recruiting Steel Fixers to support industrial and structural assembly operations. The successful candidates will work as part of a team assembling, positioning, and securing steel components and reinforcement materials in accordance with technical drawings and production specifications. This role is suited to candidates with construction, fabrication, or mechanical assembly experience who are comfortable working with tools and steel components in an industrial environment. Key Responsibilities Positioning and securing steel components and reinforcement materials Reading and following drawings, measurements, and assembly instructions Using hand and power tools safely and effectively Cutting, aligning, bolting, and fixing steel structures and components Assisting with fabrication and assembly work Operating lifting equipment and overhead gantry cranes where required Supporting production and material handling activities Maintaining safe working practices and quality standards Working effectively as part of a two-person or larger team Candidate Requirements Previous experience in steel fixing, construction, fabrication, manufacturing, or mechanical assembly desirable Experience using hand and power tools essential Ability to interpret drawings and measurements Good practical skills and attention to detail MIG welding experience advantageous but not essential Crane or lifting equipment experience beneficial; training may be provided Reliable, motivated, and capable of working in a team environment Good level of English advantageous for safety and operational communication Education & Skills Relevant site or fabrication experience preferred Safe Pass or equivalent health and safety awareness desirable Strong understanding of safe manual handling practices Benefits Full training provided Stable long-term employment Overtime opportunities available Opportunities for progression within the company
