JGS Poultry are currently recruiting for Avian Technicians for their sites at Killathy, Ballyhooly, Co. Cork P51D934
The avian technician will be responsible for the daily care, welfare, and medical oversight of flock populations. They will monitor biosecurity, manage climate control systems, administer treatments, and ensure strict compliance with regional health and production regulations. 

Core Responsibilities
•	Health Monitoring: Conducting daily visual checks on birds to identify early signs of respiratory distress, nutritional deficiencies, or disease.
•	Biosecurity & Sanitation: Ensuring strict hygiene protocols and restricting unauthorized entry to prevent the spread of pathogens.
•	Medication & Vaccination: Administering prescribed medications, vitamins, and vaccines either via water systems, feed, or direct injection.
•	Environmental Management: Monitoring and adjusting automated house ventilation, lighting, and cooling systems to maximize bird comfort and output.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience or working in a similar position is required for this role
