On Site, On Sit, On Site,This role will be based throughout the Republic of Ireland and when required, Northern Ireland. As such, we welcome Republic of Ireland applicants as well as Northern Ireland applicants living close to the border. Due to continued growth, we’re looking for an ambitious, self-driven and dedicated Telecoms Engineer who wants to get stuck in and learn new things. This role will cover: • The installation of company phone systems throughout the Republic of Ireland and, when required, Northern Ireland. • Site visits for fault diagnosis and resolution, documenting all actions taken. • Working as part of the Engineering team, supporting fellow engineers and support staff with all aspects of company systems. • The daily management of company van and all stock within. • Taking ownership of jobs through to conclusion, making sure customers are trained accordingly and fully understand system provided. Key Responsibilities • Installation and termination of data cabling (Cat5e, Cat6) on to patch panels and floorside data modules, installation of trunking, back boxes, faceplates. • Working at heights. • Configuration of Draytek and Ubiquiti routers (WAN, LAN, VPN, VLAN, Firewall and WiFi). • Installation of all company VOIP systems (Gamma Horizon, WebEx for Gamma, iPECS Cloud, 3CX). • Maintenance and troubleshooting of all company VOIP systems. • Installation and configuration of Ubiquiti WiFi access points. • Working with Microsoft products (Word, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint). • Working closely with suppliers and end users to supply their communication needs. • Fully documenting installations, surveys and faults on company ticketing system (WorkPal). Essential Criteria • Previous experience of network cabling (Cat5e, Cat6), running, terminating and troubleshooting. • Router configuration (preferably Draytek). • Proven experience in installing and maintaining PBX, VoIP, SIP and DECT telephony solutions. • Good written & verbal communication skills. • Good time management skills, able to work alone or as part of a team and complete all documentation related to jobs. • Full driving licence, with no more than 6 penalty points on licence. • Working at heights. • Experience with the use of power and hand tools (Drill/Drivers, SDS Drils etc.). Desirable Criteria • Experience of analogue telephone wiring (multi-core, DP work). • Experience of Gamma Horizon, 3CX, iPECS Cloud and WebEx for Gamma VOIP systems, up to and including the building, programming and provisioning all systems and phones. • CSR card or equivalent. • Working at heights certification or equivalent.
