Responsibilities:

·        To maintain and repair commercial vehicles ensuring that they are roadworthy and in

         good working order. 

·        Maintain and repair plant vehicles to ensure that they are in good working order. 

·        Diagnose Vehicle breakdowns. 

·        Manage repair priorities in association with the Transport Manager. 

·        Maintain paperwork in relation to maintenance of commercial and plant

        vehicles. 

·        Liaise with the Health and Safety Manager to ensure that all statutory requirements

         with respects to Health and Safety and Environment are implemented & adhered to. 

·        Maintain the garage in a clean and orderly state at all times.  

·        Carry out effective maintenance of fixed plants and equipment if required, including

        management of spare parts and preventative maintenance schedules with

        maintenance team. 

 

Skills Required:

·        3 years’ experience working in a busy garage, ideally on commercial HGV vehicles 

 ·       Full / Part qualified Mechanic or proven experience in HGV repairs and maintenance
