Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.



Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

General maintenance of Glin Homes for the Elderly and its grounds
Grass cutting and lawn care
Planting, weeding and maintaining flower beds
Minor repairs and small painting jobs
Keeping the overall complex clean, tidy and well maintained
Assisting with setting up rooms for activities, meetings and community groups
Other general gardening and maintenance duties as required

The position is based at Loughill Town Park, Co. Limerick. Full support and guidance will be provided. No previous experience is necessary, and accredited training will be available.
