Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Western Alzheimers is recruiting for Healthcare Assistants throughout Carrick on Shannon and surrounding areas, to join their Community Employment project. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get back to work, up-skill and gain further experience in a person-centered healthcare setting. QQI certified Healthcare training with support provided. Duties include caring for people with Alzheimers Disease/dementia and providing supportive care in the clients’ home. Tasks may include assisting with personal care, social engagement, meal preparation etc. Flexible availability & a full clean drivers licence required. 19.5 hours per week.
