Irish Oxygen Company is a leading provider of medical & industrial gas solutions, dedicated to supplying high-quality gases and medical devices to both the private and public sector. We pride ourselves on our commitment to safety, reliability, and innovation. In 2016 Irish Oxygen partnered with the Italian company SOL Group to produce medical gases, and now supply medical gas and devices to many of Ireland's Hospitals and Medical facilities

We are now seeking an ambitious Sales & Marketing Apprentice to join our team and help drive growth within our Industrial & Medical Gases division. This unique "Earn & Learn" role allows you to build a career in technical B2B sales while earning a competitive salary. You will spend the majority of your time working on-site with us, gaining hands-on industry experience, while undertaking the National Sales Apprenticeship programme and the Certificate in Digital Marketing.

Upon successful completion you will be awarded a QQI Major Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Sales and a QQI Level 5 component Certificate in Digital Marketing along with a full time Sales & Marketing role within the company.

Key Responsibilities

As a Sales & Marketing Apprentice, you will be integrated into our day-to-day operations while taking proactive ownership of your professional development:

Learn the technical profiles of our product range, including welding mixtures, food grade gases, medical gases and industrial applications.
Actively engage with on-the-job training to build, maintain, and manage relationships with regional business clients.
Lead and take full responsibility for your own learning and academic progress.
Participate in weekly 1-to-1 mentoring meetings with your assigned workplace mentor to review notes and track development goals.
Maintain an up-to-date learning record and complete all workplace tasks/assessments within required deadlines.
Attend all mandatory online classes, writing/study skills sessions, and face-to-face workshops
Support the operations of Sales Team with customer insight and marketing ideas
Who We Are Looking For

To qualify for this apprenticeship, applicants must be 18 years of age or older and meet one of the following educational criteria:

Standard Entry: a pass grade or above in at least 5 Leaving Certificate subjects, which must include both Mathematics and English OR A major QQI Level 5 qualification (or higher)
Mature Applicant Route: Candidates aged 21 years or older who do not meet the educational requirements above will be considered if they possess at least 2+ years of direct experience in sales
The position is available immediately with the Sales Apprenticeship programme commencing 7th September 2026

What We Provide

Full-time salary for the standard 26-month duration of the programme.
Dedicated support from an experienced internal Workplace Mentor.
Regular Hours 8am to 4.30pm (Mon to Fri)
