Job Description:

The Filling Plant Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the gas filling plant and associated equipment. This role involves filling, handling, inspection, and maintenance of gas cylinders while strictly adhering to all company, safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Cylinder Filling: Operate filling equipment and systems to accurately and safely fill gas cylinders (e.g. welding mixtures, oxygen, nitrogen) according to established procedures, weight standards, and product specifications.
System Monitoring: Monitor gauges and control panels to regulate temperatures, pressures, and flow rates during processing and filling operations.
Equipment Operation: Start, stop, and operate compressors, pumps, evaporators, and other process equipment as required.
Loading/Unloading: Assist in the loading and unloading of gas cylinders/vessels from delivery vehicles using forklifts or other material handling equipment.
Inventory Control: Track and record inventory of filled and empty cylinders, ensuring accurate product storage and segregation.
Adherence to Standards: Strictly follow all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
Routine Maintenance: Perform basic, routine maintenance and housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning equipment, lubricating machinery, and changing filters/gaskets.
Record Keeping: Maintain detailed and accurate operational logs, production reports, maintenance records, and safety checklists, both manually and electronically.
Communication: Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and maintenance staff to ensure smooth and coordinated plant operation.
Required Experience

Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or process plant environment is highly desirable. Experience with gas handling or cylinder filling is a strong asset.
Safety Focus: A strong commitment to safety and adherence to all regulatory and company procedures.
Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for extended periods, walking, climbing, bending, and lifting
