Job Title: Radio Technician (Community Radio)

Job Summary:
The Radio Technician supports the technical operations of a community radio station, ensuring all broadcasting equipment and systems are functioning correctly. This includes setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of studio and transmission gear, as well as assisting presenters and volunteers with equipment use.

Key Responsibilities:
* Set up, test, and maintain studio and transmission equipment (mixers, microphones, transmitters, etc.).
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during live and recorded broadcasts.
* Ensure audio quality and signal strength meet broadcast standards.
* Maintain and update computers and software used for scheduling and editing.
* Provide technical support to presenters, producers, and volunteers.
* Assist in setting up outside broadcasts or remote recordings.
* Keep records of repairs, maintenance, and inventory of technical equipment.

Skills and Qualifications:
* Basic knowledge of audio equipment and radio broadcasting systems.
* Familiarity with audio editing software and playout systems.
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
* Ability to work calmly under pressure during live shows.
* Willingness to learn and support a team of volunteers.
* Some experience or training in sound engineering, IT, or electronics is a plus.
