Role Overview Global Steel is seeking an experienced and highly skilled CNC Press Brake Operator to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate setup and operation of CNC press brake machinery, producing high-quality fabricated components in line with engineering specifications and company standards. Health and safety is paramount in this role, alongside a strong right-first-time approach to manufacturing. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC press brake machines Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications Select correct tooling, materials, and machine settings for each job Produce components to required tolerances and quality standards Carry out first-off and in-process inspections Maintain a right-first-time mindset to minimise waste and rework Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting Ensure full compliance with health and safety procedures Work to production schedules and meet deadlines Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members ________________________________________ Essential Requirements Proven experience operating CNC press brake machines Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings High level of accuracy and attention to detail Good understanding of sheet metal fabrication Strong commitment to health and safety Reliable with excellent timekeeping Good communication skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team ________________________________________ Desirable Skills & Experience Experience with CNC systems (e.g., Amada, Trumpf, Bystronic or similar) Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles Experience in a fast-paced production environment _______________________________________ What We Offer Full-time, stable employment with Global Steel Competitive salary plus shift allowance Supportive, team-based environment Opportunities for training and development Structured shift pattern with early finish on Fridays
