Our client seeking a qualified and experienced HGV/PSV Mechanic based in Co. Longford. The successful candidate will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, repair, and inspection of a fleet coaches, buses, and minibuses, ensuring all vehicles are maintained to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and roadworthiness.

Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance on coaches, buses, and minibuses.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults using diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge.
Inspect, service, and repair braking systems.
Diagnose and repair vehicle electrical systems and wiring faults.
Service and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
Maintain and repair air-operated and electric passenger doors.
Inspect, service, and repair wheelchair access lifts and associated equipment.
Carry out tyre inspections, repairs, and replacements.
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot CCTV and vehicle camera systems.
Diagnose and repair lighting and auxiliary electrical systems.
Service and repair fuel systems and associated components.
Respond to vehicle breakdowns both on-site and roadside when required.
Prepare vehicles for annual roadworthiness inspections and testing.
Complete vehicle inspections and safety checks in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, including completion of job cards detailing work carried out, parts fitted, and time spent on repairs.
Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Assist in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient workshop environment.
