Location: Ennis, Co. Clare
Salary: €38,000 – €52,000 (DOE)
Hours: Full-time
Contract: Fixed-term with potential for permanency
    
Supporting Independence in a Community-Focused Setting
  
This Social Care Worker role is based in a service in Ennis that places a strong emphasis on community integration and everyday independence.
  
You will be supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities to build confidence, develop practical life skills, and take part more fully in their local community, with support that is consistent, respectful, and tailored to the individual.
  
The environment is structured, but the approach is flexible, allowing you to respond to each person’s needs in a meaningful way.
  
What the Role Looks Like Day-to-Day
Supporting individuals in developing independence and daily routines
Encouraging participation in community and social activities
Working closely with individuals to build confidence and life skills
Promoting choice, dignity, and person-led decision making
Following HIQA standards and contributing to a safe care environment
Liaising with families and multidisciplinary teams where required
  
What You Will Need to Succeed
Degree in Social Care (Level 7 or 8)
CORU registration or eligibility
Experience supporting individuals in disability or care settings
Strong awareness of safeguarding and professional responsibility
Manual Handling & First Aid (or willingness to complete training)
