This Work Placement Experience Programme provides Participants with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, learning and training while on the programme. This programme is for jobseekers who are in receipt of qualifying social welfare payments and those transferring from a social welfare scheme or an ETB Training Allowance. Your eligibility for this programme will be verified by the Department as part of the application process. 


Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.

This position is designed to help you build a solid foundation in warehouse operations without requiring any prior skills or qualifications. All training will be provided in a supportive environment.

Over the duration of the 6-month placement you will learn and be mentored in:
•	Goods Inwards: Learning how to receive, check and log incoming goods.
•	Order Picking / Outgoing Orders: Assist with outgoing orders; support the preparation and verification of orders leaving the warehouse to ensure that everything is accurate and in good order.
•	Warehouse Safety / Workplace Organisation: Maintain workplace organisation; contribute to keeping the warehouse clean, safe, and well-organised as part of our commitment to operational efficiency.
•	Stock Control: Assist with stock take. Gain exposure to inventory management practices, including learning to track stock levels and understanding how to replenish low supplies.
•	Customer Service: Assist with deliveries and learn how to engage with customers.
 
This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module, which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection.
