Job Title: Playgroup Supervisor Company: DEW Childcare T/A Bloomfield Childcare Work Location: 46 Bloomfield Park, Donnybrook, Dublin D04E8X5 Annual Salary: €37,544 Weekly Hours: 40 hours We are looking for full-time Playgroup Supervisor to join the team. Key Responsibilities: Plan, organise and supervise age-appropriate play-based learning activities that support children's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. Supervise the daily operation of the playgroup, ensuring activities are delivered in a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment in accordance with the service's policies and procedures. Provide guidance, support and day-to-day supervision to Playgroup Leaders and Childcare Assistants, ensuring high standards of care and the consistent delivery of activities. Monitor children's wellbeing, behaviour and developmental progress, maintaining appropriate records and communicating any concerns to parents and management where required. Promote children's learning, independence, creativity and social interaction through structured and free-play activities. Ensure compliance with Tusla regulations, Children First Guidelines, health and safety requirements, infection prevention procedures and safeguarding policies. Build positive relationships with children, parents, guardians and colleagues, providing regular feedback and maintaining effective communication. Assist with the planning, preparation and evaluation of weekly activity programmes and educational resources to meet the developmental needs of the children. Support the induction, mentoring and ongoing guidance of new childcare staff, promoting best practice within the playgroup. Maintain accurate attendance, incident and observation records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with GDPR requirements. Ensure the play environment, equipment and learning materials are maintained in a clean, safe and organised condition at all times. Participate in staff meetings, training programmes and continuous professional development to maintain high-quality childcare practices. Requirements: Experience working in the field. Excellent communication skills. Ability to maintain a positive approach in a sometimes-challenging environment. Caring and empathetic nature. A second language would be an advantage. A positive ‘can do’ attitude and an enthusiasm for providing exceptional service to meet the needs of the company is required.
