Health Care Assistant’s Required for Ardfoyle Convent, Ballintemple (Near- Pairc Ui Choimh) Ardfoyle Convent Infirmary is purpose built specifically to cater to the needs of our elderly residents- with single rooms and ensuite facilities. We are currently recruiting energetic and caring healthcare assistants to join our team. We have a number of temporary positions available (Day and Weekend Shifts Available). Role and Responsibilities: • Making a positive different and enhancing our residents’ daily lives. • Supporting residents with various tasks such as personal care, while maintaining a person’s dignity. • Helping at meals times. • Hygiene & Infection Control • Be caring, emphatic and trustworthy. • Have a genuine interest in helping people. The ideal candidate: • Will have or be working towards a QQI level 5 in ‘Healthcare Support’, 'Care of the Older Person' or similar. • Have a caring nature and have a genuine interest in working in a caring environment. • Be willing to work as part of a team. • Have excellent communication skills. • Experience of working within a healthcare setting is a bonus but not essential.
