Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.



Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

Driver/General Operative Tus Care and Repair.
 
Drive the vans as required. Ensure compliance with rules of the road and other safety regulations at all times. Including daily van checks. 
Some working knowledge across various work areas i.e. painting, gardening, plumbing, general handyperson work, etc. would be an advantage
Provide recommendations to the clients in advance on what materials they need to purchase for the jobs and any additional equipment that may be needed. 
Carry out all jobs in a safe & diligent manner. Paramount to make elderly/vulnerable people feel at ease in all contact with them. 
Abide by the confidentiality agreement. Comply with all Health and Safety requirements. 
Maintain appropriate records of requirements for each job and job completion work from clients. 
Communicate and liaise, as required, with the Team Leader, Managers, Elderly/vulnerable people, co-workers and South Dublin County Partnership when required. 

Carry out any other reasonable task as may be required.

The undertaking of certified training is an integral part of C.E. Participation.

This role requires completion of Garda Vetting
