Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

To register your interest you can contact an Employment Personal Advisor (EPA) in your local Intreo Centre.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.



Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

To work from the determinants of a health based approach by considering all the areas in Traveller's lives that can have an impact on their health.
To work with the TVG health team in order to support initiatives that will support Travellers to have better health outcomes.
To network with local, regional and national Traveller organisations.
To promote awareness, interest and knowledge of Traveller health matters through regular contact and networking with other relevant agencies.
To support the development of group work for Traveller men, women and young people.
To support the overall development and delivery of  TVG's health response and work closely with the rest of the health team and with other projects within TVG.
To carry out other duties that may be assigned to you by the Project Coordinator and TVG Management Committee.
