Job description 
IO Resource is a trade-only distributor of barcode scanners, rugged handheld computers,
label printers and point-of-sale hardware, based in Rathnew, Co. Wicklow. We supply
resellers and IT departments across Ireland and the UK.
We are looking for a reliable, hands-on person to join our warehouse and technical service
team, four hours a day, five days a week (around 20 hours). Core hours are 10:00 to 14:00,
with some flexibility for the right person.
The role combines warehouse work — goods in and out, picking, packing, dispatch and
stock control — with technical service: setting up and configuring devices (Android
handhelds, scanners and printers), testing returns and helping with basic repairs. Full
training is provided; you do not need to know our equipment already, but you should be
comfortable with technology and good with your hands.
This could suit someone semi-retired from a technical, engineering or IT background; a
student on a technical or engineering course who wants regular hours around study; or
anyone looking for school-hours work, as 10 to 2 fits neatly around the school run.
What matters most is reliability, a genuine aptitude for technology, attention to detail, and the
ability to do physical warehouse work. Any experience with IT hardware, electronics or
barcode/EPoS equipment is a bonus but not essential. On-site in Rathnew; own transport is
useful as public transport is limited.
