This Work Placement Experience Programme provides Participants with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, learning and training while on the programme. This programme is for jobseekers who are in receipt of qualifying social welfare payments and those transferring from a social welfare scheme or an ETB Training Allowance. Your eligibility for this programme will be verified by the Department as part of the application process. 


Tribe & Co, a busy and vibrant salon located in Lackagh, Turloughmore, is offering an exciting WPEP placement opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual interested in gaining experience in a professional salon environment.
As a Salon Assistant, you will become part of our dynamic and hardworking team while developing valuable workplace skills and experience in the day-to-day operations of a busy salon.
What You Will Learn:
•	Front-of-house reception duties
•	Using a salon booking and appointment system
•	Delivering excellent customer service
•	Maintaining and organising salon stock
•	Salon hygiene and cleanliness procedures
•	Supporting the daily operations of a busy salon
•	Working effectively as part of a professional team

This placement would suit someone who enjoys working with people, has good communication skills, and wants to gain customer service experience in a professional salon setting. Full training will be provided, along with the opportunity to work in a friendly team and develop valuable workplace skills.
 
This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module, which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection. This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP.
