Moderna Pavers and Wall Creations Limited is seeking an experienced Bricklayer. You will play a key role in constructing, repairing, and maintaining high quality masonry structures across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Working within a busy, hands on construction environment, you will ensure all bricklaying and blocklaying work is completed safely, accurately, and in compliance with Irish building regulations. This role involves reading technical drawings, preparing materials, and carrying out precise masonry work with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and structural integrity. Employer Moderna Pavers and Wall Creations Limited Minimum Annual Remuneration & Benefits €37,544 per year. This is a full time, fixed term contract for 2 years with a possibility of extension. 20 days annual leave Location of Employment Work locations will vary depending on project requirements; however, all work will take place within Ireland. Office location: 65 The Waterways, Sallins, Kildare, W91 Fa43, Ireland Hours of Work 40 hours per week Monday to Friday: 8am to 5pm (15 minute break, 1 hour lunch) Key Responsibilities Bricklaying & blocklaying :Lay bricks, blocks, and stone to construct walls, partitions, foundations, chimneys, and other structural elements. Site preparation :Prepare mortar, materials, and work areas to ensure efficient workflow and safe operations. Technical drawings :Read and interpret architectural plans, blueprints, and construction specifications. Structural alignment: Ensure all structures are level, plumb, and built to precise measurements. Pointing & finishing :Carry out high quality pointing, sealing, and finishing work to meet project standards. Repair & restoration: Repair damaged brickwork, replace defective sections, and restore structural integrity. Safety compliance: Follow all health and safety procedures, including PPE use, manual handling, and site safety protocols. Material handling :Load, unload, and move bricks, blocks, and construction materials safely. Team collaboration: Work effectively with other tradespeople, foremen, and site supervisors to meet project timelines. Record keeping : Maintain accurate records of work completed when required. Required Skills & Qualifications Qualified bricklayer: Relevant construction or masonry qualification, or strong equivalent experience. Technical masonry skills: Skilled in bricklaying, blocklaying, mortar preparation, and structural alignment. Drawing interpretation: Ability to read and follow technical drawings and building plans. Attention to detail : Ensuring all work meets structural, safety, and quality standards. Physical capability: Ability to perform manual labour, lifting, and outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Teamwork & communication: Comfortable working in a small, fast paced construction team. Full driving licence: Advantageous for travelling to multiple construction sites. English speaker: Ability to communicate effectively in English
