We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar PV Electrical Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning, fault-finding, and maintenance of Solar PV systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
This role requires strong electrical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently while ensuring all installations meet the required quality, safety, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Install, test, and commission Solar PV systems, including panels, inverters, isolators, cabling, and related electrical components.
Carry out AC and DC electrical connections in line with relevant electrical standards and company procedures.
Perform fault-finding, repairs, and preventative maintenance on Solar PV systems.
Support system inspections, testing, certification, and handover documentation.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, technical specifications, and installation plans.
Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Follow health and safety procedures when working at heights, with electrical systems, and on customer sites.
Liaise with supervisors, project managers, and customers in a professional manner.
Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and any issues identified on site.
Requirements
Previous experience in electrical installation, Solar PV installation, or renewable energy systems.
Strong understanding of AC/DC electrical systems, inverters, wiring, isolators, and electrical safety requirements.
Ability to carry out installation, testing, commissioning, fault-finding, and maintenance work.
Good knowledge of health and safety procedures, including working at heights.
Ability to read electrical drawings and follow technical instructions.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Electrical qualification, apprenticeship, or relevant technical training is desirable.
Solar PV or renewable energy training/certification is an advantage.
