Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

Duties and responsibilities:

General maintenance e.g. tidy town maintenance and general tidy up of area.

Gardening & landscaping e.g. Drive tractor mower, use push mower, grass strimming, attending to flower beds & hedge cutting.

GAA pitch maintenance

Sowing and planting e.g. sow & care for plants as required, recognise pests, diseases & weeds, safe use of pesticides.

Repairs and maintenance e.g. block laying, stonework and general area enhancement.

Working with a team.

Attend meetings and training courses when necessary.
