Wallace Travel & Transport Services Limited at Rosegreen, Cashel, Co.Tipperary, looking for a HGV mechanic. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the automotive industry and a drive to learn and grow within the field.

Responsibilities:

The main duties will be responsible for perform routine maintenance, diagnosis, inspect, adjust, repair, replaces and test all components of clutches,hydraulic coupling, etc. of all the company buses. Ensuring that the buses meet with safety standards. Knowledge of high-volume automated equipment, with experience in hydraulic and pneumatic fault finding being highly desirable. Other duties will include :

Conduct daily start-up and shut-down checks on trucks and machinery across the plant.
Respond promptly and safely to equipment breakdowns, minimizing downtime.
Carry out servicing and maintenance across the site efficiently, safely, and hygienically.
Ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed to a high standard.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace during all repair and breakdown activities.
Implement and adhere to the preventative maintenance schedule.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of all required maintenance records.
Support adherence to the company’s Health & Safety policy by following proper procedures and ensuring compliance among staff.

Requirements:

  Minimum 2 years of experience.
  Good communication skills
  Ability to work well in a team environment

Annual Remuneration: €41,600.00

Pay rate:  € 20 per hour  

Number of hours work each week: 40
